[Course announcement ] Basic programming for neuroscience

Sokendai Brain Science Joint Program Subject:"Basic programming for neuroscience" starts from Oct.18th, on Wednesdays.

Since this is a full-year course, we strongly recommend that students take both "Basic programming for neuroscience" in the latter semester and "Basic physiological and anatomical brain science" in the first semester. 
If you are going to take "Basic programming for neuroscience" and you have not taken "Basic physiological and anatomical brain science" yet, please remember to register it next year.

The course "Basic programming for neuroscience" is essential for students who wish to learn how to handle vast amounts of data using computer program.

【Schedule of the classes】 Octoberl 18 - on Wednsdays 10:00-11:30 (9:00-10:30 on Oct. 25)
● Class #2 through #8 will consist of a short lecture and actual practice of (EEG) data analysis. Students shall work on their own PC to learn basic programming. 
● Students shall practice data analysis by writing script with MATLAB.

* All lectures will be delivered to remote areas, but the practices will be delivered only when requested.
* Please bring your MATLAB pre-installed Mac or PC to classes #2 to #8.
* MacBook Air (MATLAB pre-installed) will be provided to students who want to borrow for practice.
